Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at sanctuarywithsarah@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Hypnotherapy is a natural, deeply relaxed state where your mind is more open to positive suggestions. It combines hypnosis with therapeutic techniques to help you release unwanted habits, reduce stress, and create lasting change.

No. You will be fully aware and in control the entire time. Hypnosis feels more like a guided meditation or daydream where you can hear everything I say and remember the session afterward.

Most people can experience hypnosis if they’re willing and open to it. It’s not about “mind control”—it’s a collaborative process between you and your hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy is used for a variety of goals, including weight management, stress reduction, improving sleep, breaking habits, boosting confidence, and achieving personal or professional goals.

I am also a Soul Empowering Hypnosis Practitioner which is more of a spiritual form of hypnotherapy that can help you to have a deeper connection to your Soul, Guides and the answers to questions that you like to receive from your Spirit Team.

Yes. Hypnotherapy is a safe, non-invasive practice. You are always in control and can come out of the relaxed state at any time you choose. There are many times during your day when you naturally enter a trance-like  state. E.G when driving, day dreaming and watching a movie.

Every person is unique. Some clients notice positive changes after just one session, while more complex issues may require a longer process. For example, weight release is a multifaceted issue that often involves mindset, habits, and emotions. I generally recommend a minimum of five sessions for the best results with weight release.

Absolutely not. During hypnosis, you remain fully aware and in control at all times. Your conscious critical faculty—the part of your mind that evaluates information and protects your values—stays active even when you’re deeply relaxed. This means you cannot be made to do, think, or believe anything that goes against your morals, ethics, or personal will. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and your willingness to make positive changes.

Stage hypnosis is for entertainment and often involves volunteers. Hypnotherapy is a professional, therapeutic process designed to help you make meaningful, positive changes in your life.

To get the most out of your session, come with an open mind and a clear intention of what you’d like to achieve. Wear comfortable clothing and choose a quiet, private space if the session is online. After booking, you’ll receive a relaxation hypnosis audio from me — listening to it beforehand will help you become familiar with my voice and allow you to feel even more comfortable and relaxed when we work together. Feel free to write down any questions or goals you have so we can focus on what matters most to you during your session.
